Who built Trendar, why, and how you can support it.
Keeping up with the flood of AI papers and news every day got overwhelming, so I built Trendar myself — out of a wish that “someone would just pick the important ones and sum them up in Korean.”
I handle everything alone, from collection to AI summaries to running the server. Since it's a tool I built to use myself every day, it stays free for everyone, forever.
It automatically gathers new papers, news, and trending repos from seven sources.
Korean headlines and summaries, a research-importance score (0–10), and field classification.
It detects keywords with surging mentions and ties the week's flow into a single briefing.
Save items with bookmarks, and get an email digest if you want one.

Trendar is free, but it doesn't run for free. Keeping the server and domain alive — plus the daily AI summaries and translations — all cost money. The price of a single coffee keeps Trendar running for a few more days. More than the amount, a single signal that you're “getting good use out of it” means the most to someone building this alone.
